6th Grade Science –
This week, we’ll be working on our Earth, weather, and climate unit. During this time, students will be learning about concepts such as atmospheric conditions, ocean current trends, weather patterns and storms, and how the sun and Earth can effect weather conditions.
Homework –
11/26 – Finish your Talking to the Text Marine Layer Activity (the article, rubric, and tips are in Google Classroom).
11/27 – Finish your Climate Brochure
STEM Apps –
This week, we’ll be continuing our Modeling & Design unit, where students will be challenged to use drafting, architectural, and design skills to transform images from two-dimensional sketches to three-dimensional models. During this time, students will work on designing, modeling, and constructing their very own cereal brand, which they will sketch, prototype, and build. We’ll be completing construction of our cereal boxes on Thursday, November 29th so we can “pitch” our finished products in class on Friday, November 30th.
Homework –
11/26 – Bring in a cardboard box or two so we can start building tomorrow!
11/27 – Continue to work on your cereal box design and complete your Engineering Logs
