6th Grade Science –
This week, we’ll be studying, analyzing, and investigating the hydrologic cycle. Students will conduct a series of activities and experiments to learn about how human activity can affect the water cycle and how development can impact the flow of the water.

7th Grade ELA –
This week, we’ll be kicking off our argumentative & persuasive literature unit. Students will read, write, and evaluate different forms of argumentative and persuasive texts, including non-fiction literature, news articles, informational texts, debates, and transcripts. During this unit, students will also write arguments and counter-arguments that involve citing claims, evidence, and reasoning.

8th Grade STEM Apps –
This week, we’ll be implementing our mathematical, technical drawing, spatial reasoning, and engineering skills by finishing up our STEM Cardboard Chair Project. Students will be working in teams to design, create, and build a fully functional piece of furniture out of cardboard that can support the weight of at least one member of their group. Chair construction will conclude during class on Thursday, October 24th, and students will present their work to the class on Friday, October 25th.
