6th Grade Science –
This week, we’ll be studying, analyzing, and investigating the hydrologic cycle. Students will conduct a series of activities and experiments to learn about how human activity can affect the water cycle and how development can impact the flow of the water.

7th Grade ELA –
This week, we’ll be wrapping up our narrative lit unit by writing an “alternative ending” to one of the stories that we have read during class this semester. We will conduct a Writer’s Workshop to edit and revise our essay rough drafts. The final draft of the alternative ending narrative essay is due on Thursday. October 17th. We will have our quiz on The Lottery on Friday, October 18th.

10/15/19 – Work on your alternative ending essay & bring in a rough draft for our Writer’s Workshop tomorrow (Wed, Oct 16th!). The final draft of the alternative ending essay is due on Thurs, Oct 17th. Also, be sure to study for The Lottery quiz on Friday, Oct 18th!

8th Grade STEM Apps –
This week, we’ll be implementing our mathematical, technical drawing, spatial reasoning, and engineering skills by kicking off our STEM Cardboard Chair Project. Students will be working in teams to design, create, and build a fully functional piece of furniture out of cardboard that can support the weight of at least one member of their group.
