This week, we’ll be working on our cells and body systems unit to investigate similarities and differences between living and non-living organisms, learn about cell theory, and explore the microscopic world.

7th Grade STEM Apps –
This week, the 7th grade students will be putting their 2-D and 3-D modeling skills to the test by working on their Lego Dissection project. Students will gain practice with isometric and multi-view sketching, and they will begin organizing and categorizing data. By the end of the week, students will need to complete and submit their very own instruction manual that a new team can use to build their Lego figurine. Original instruction manuals must be uploaded to Google Classroom by the end of the school day (2:15pm) on Friday, February 22nd to receive full credit.

2/20 – Work on your Lego Dissection Project – Phase 3 – Instruction manuals are due by the end of the school day on Friday, Feb. 22nd.
8th Grade STEM Apps –
The 8th grade students will continue to gather ideas for the 8th grade Design Fair, which will take place in May 2019. During this time, students will explore topics, conduct research, and identify a real-world problem that will kick off their own Engineering Design Process. We will be working on the research pieces of our Engineering Design Fair Project all week. All annotated bibliography and research work must be submitted by the end of the school day (2:15pm) on Friday, February 22nd to receive full credit.
