6th Grade Science –
This week, we’ll be focusing on our heat, temperature, and thermal energy unit. We’ll continue to explore the topic of thermal energy in discussions, activities, and experiments over the next few weeks.
Homework –
10/24 – Finish the Lunchbox Challenge (Part 1 and Part 2) – this should include a letter, a C-E-R (claim-evidence-reasoning), and a colored prototype drawing. Students may also work on an (OPTIONAL) bonus point opportunity assignment that is located in Google Classroom – this is due on Friday, Oct 26th.
10/25 – Complete IXL 7.I.2 – Compare Thermal Energy Transfers. Students may also work on an (OPTIONAL) bonus point opportunity assignment that is located in Google Classroom – this is due on Friday, Oct 26th.

STEM Apps –
This week, we’ll be working on our Future City unit, where students will be challenged to address global issues and come up with feasible solutions as they work in teams to design and create a city 100+ years ahead of our time. This week, we’ll be researching future innovations to investigate how these advancements will effect humanity.
