1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork reviewed simplifying expressions involving rational exponents, Sec 7-4.

Hwk #13 is due today.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 7-4, Rational Exponents, then we began our discussion on Sec 7-1, Roots and Radical Expressions.

Hwk #14 is due tomorrow.         Sec 7-4

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork reviewed solving Quadratic Equations using the Quadratic Formula.

Hwk #13 is due today.

The remainder of the period we continued discussing Sec 5-8 by using the Discriminant to determine the number of Real Solutions (x-intercepts) a given Quadratic has.  We also discussed problems that require students to know when to use the Vertex to answer a question and when you need to use the Quadratic Formula to answer a question (Sec 5-8).

Hwk #14 will be due Wednesday.    Sec 5-8

Page 293.    Problems 8, 9, 21, 22, 31-33, 57-59.
