1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork gave students practice with SAT-style math questions.

The remainder of the period students practiced finding EXACT solutions to  Quadratic Equations using the Quadratic Formula.

Hwk #20 is due tomorrow.   Sec 5-8.

Page 293.  Problems 8, 9, 21, 22, 31-33, 57-59

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork gave students practice solving a system of equations using Elimination and Substitution.

The remainder of the period we continued discussing Sec 3-2.  Students practiced solving systems of equations where the answer is No Solution or Many Solutions, systems that involved fractions, and writing systems given a real-life situation then solving.

Hwk #16 is due tomorrow.   Sec 3-2

Page 128.    Problems 14, 17, 35, 54-58 (for problems 54-58 students are to solve the systems too)
