Bellwork reviewed graphing parabolas using Standard Form for the equation of a quadratic and finding the maximum value of a function and when it occurs.

The remainder of the period we discussed situations that could be modeled with a quadratic and how to find values that maximize a certain quantity (sec 5-2).  We then began our discussion on Vertex Form for the equation of a quadratic (Sec 5-3).
