Bellwork introduced the Parent Quadratic Function and its five main points.  Students then practiced graphing transformations of the Parent Quadratic Function.

Hwk #13 is due today

The remainder of the period we discussed transforming the Parent Quadratic Function using Vertex Form:  y = a(x-h)^2+k.

Hwk #14 is due tomorrow:

Agilemind – Topic 3 – Transforming functions.  SAS2 #18 a-c  AND  More Practice pages 1-3 from the Agilemind website.  For the problems from SAS2 pay attention to scales on axes and if the print in the workbook is hard to read you can always access the original Student Activity Sheets, in color, from the Agilemind website.
