Hrs 1-3:

Bellwork reviewed finding the Period, Amplitude, and Eq of Midline for a periodic function, and gave students practice on some SAT like questions.

The remainder of the period students worked on an Exploration to discover how the values of a and b in the equation y =aSinbx affect the graph of the parent function y=Sinx.  We then began discussing how to graph by hand the equation y =aSinbx.

5th hr:

Bellwork introduced the graph of y=Sinx.

The remainder of the period we discussed the Parent Function:  y=Sinx.  Students then began working on an Exploration to discover how the values of a and b in the equation y =aSinbx affect the graph of the parent function y=Sinx.
