1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork gave students review on finding x-intercepts and VA for Tangent Functions and evaluating the Reciprocal Trigonometric Functions.

Hwk 36 is due today.

The remainder of the period we began our discussion on Sec 14-1, Trigonometric Identities.  Students were introduced to the Pythagorean Identity and some of its variations.  We started with simplifying trigonometric expressions.

Next Hwk:  Hwk #37.    Sec 14-1

Page 780.   Problems 1, 2, 8, 20-23, 28, 30, 55, 57

The remainder of the period we continued discussing Sec 9-5.  We began discussing different ways to simplify Complex Rational Expressions.
