4th & 5th Hours:
Bellwork gave students practice with factoring algebraic expressions.
The remainder of the period we discussed the Factored Form of a Quadratic Function: y=(x+m)(x-n). We discussed how you could find the x-intercepts, Equation for the Line of Symmetry, the Coordinates of the Vertex, and the y-intercept using this form. We also discussed how you could graph the parabola using Factored Form.
The Chapter 5 Quiz will be given on Thursday, March 2. Students were given the answers to the Chapter 5 Quiz Review that they were assigned over the break.
