1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:

Bellwork reviewed Solving Quadratic Equations and stating the number of x-intercepts the graph of a Quadratic Function has using the Discriminant.

Hwk #20 is due today.

The remainder of the period we practiced answering questions about real-life situations that are modeled with Quadratic Functions.

4th & 5th Hours:

Bellwork gave students practice solving systems of linear equations and being able to write a system of linear equations to model a real-world situation then solving the system.

Hwk #16 is due today.

The remainder of the period students practice solving systems of equations involving equations with fractions, forcing the use of a given method even when it doesn’t seem to be the “easiest” method to use, and interpreting the outcome of a system of equations.
