No bellwork today.  Students took the first part of the Chapter 2 Test which covered problems from Sec 2-5.  Part 2 of the test will be Monday.  This part covers all of the equation solving skills.

Students who are still working on passing the six equation solving quizzes we have been working on the past few week need to pass all of these quizzes before they can take Part 2 of the test.

Students who have passed all six equation solving quizzes will take Part 2 of the test on Monday.

Hwk #15 is due on Monday.  This homework is a sheet that introduces the topic of solving inequalities (Chapter 3).

The first part of the test will be on Friday and will cover the problems from sections 2-5 and 2-6.  The second part of the test will be on Monday and will cover sections 2-1 to 2-4.

Bellwork reviewed writing and solving equations.

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on sec 2-6, solving equations involving many variables.  We also began discussing using the formula:  d=rt in preparation for story problems involving this formula (Sec 2-5).

Hwk #12 and the last 3 pages of the equation solving packet is due on Thursday.

Hwk #13, pages 107-109, problems 4, 11, 13, 14, 18, 20, 21, 32 is assigned and will be due on Friday or Monday depending on when we finish covering the material.
