The remainder of the period students took a solving equations quiz then we began discussing methods to solve equations that have multiple fractions.

Bellwork reviewed solving multi-step equations and equations with variables on both sides as well as writing an equation to model a given real situation and then solving to find an unknown value.

Students took another solving equations quiz.

After the quiz we began reviewing skills needed when solving equations containing multiple fractions.

After the quiz we began to discuss how to solve Multi-Step Equations.

The remainder of the period we started Chapter 2 be discussing how to solve 1-Step Equations (Sec 2-1).

Student then took a quiz over solving 1-Step equations.

The remainder of the period we began discussing the process of solving equations, the goal when solving equations, and how to check your answer to find out if it is a solution.

Bellwork reviewed the topics of slope, graphing inequalities on a number line, and solving one-step equations.

We then discussed the practice sheet students worked on after yesterday’s quiz about using the Distributive Property (Sec 1-7).

The remainder of the period we began discussing the topic of Like Terms (Sec 1-7).
