9. Have you ever experienced something odd, and other people didn’t believe you? Write two to 3 sentences describing it.

Reading logs cannot be optional, in order to be successful in our reading goals, you must be reading at least 20 minutes at home per night.

6th graders: can work on “The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe” (our class book), or a chapter book of choice.

7th: You are reading your book talk book for our summative projects/presentations December 17th.

Reading Log

Each night you should spend 20 minutes reading. After reading, write a summary of what you read and have your parents initial and record the number of minutes your spent reading!

6th grade, be prepared for your vocabulary quiz! Use our spreadsheet or foldable we will create in class tomorrow!

7th grade: Final CERs due no later than Friday.

Be prepared for tomorrow’s binder check. You need to have:

6th graders are going to start our next class novel, “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe”. While we will not be taking the books home, feel free to use this link, to follow along in the audiobook, whenever you are absent, or can’t finish your in class reading.

Be prepared for your test tomorrow! Retakes will be offered next week, Monday and Tuesday, as grades are due on Halloween (Wednesday)!

6th Grade: your unit test has been pushed back several days, as a result of the half day, and my Monday absence. I hope you have been studying! Make sure your are making flashcards using the study guide that we made together in class.

Retakes: While you shouldn’t plan on retaking, retakes will be required for all students who receive a “C-” or below. They will be held after school, Monday-Thursday of next week. Remember, you must study with me one day, and retake the following day. This is not optional, if you want to take advantage of the retake policy.

7th grade: We are still working on our second shark article, but please plan for a test on it sometime next week (Monday?) More information to come.
