I have already begun to receive many beautiful projects for your summer book talk, as well as several summaries. But just a reminder, in case you have not already done so, you will need to do a project (can be a Google Slides presentation) on one book you have read this summer. The link for the rubric is below, but it will need to have theme and conflict type identified, as well as text evidence to support these claims. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1SaKaz5ydao_Lg5adkdz2Ech87_TwbXavr-zFoudP6Pg/edit
The other thing you will need to do is 2-4 one-paragraph summaries, (these can all be done on a different page of a Google Doc), on a total of 3 to 5 books you have read this summer. You are welcome to email these to me for feedback, but they will not be due until September 12th, in your Schoology drop box. If you need access to more books, consider listening to a free audiobook from ESL-Bits (below). The “novellas” section contains short chapter books that can be listened to in a relatively short period of time. “Inside Out, and Back Again” and “Tuck Everlasting” are both excellent choices.http://esl-bits.net/Novellas.for.ESL.Students/Novellas.for.ESL.html
