Week of 5/11 – 5/15

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe during these odd but very serious times. The weather was not in our favor this week, it was very cold and snowy in May! But on the bright side, by the end of the week we will be in the 70’s again, which is awesome and something positive to look forward to. Please continue to exercise everyday and post what type of activity you are doing. Remember, you need to be exercising for AT LEAST 30 minutes everyday in order to receive credit. Things like going for a walk, jogging, bike riding, push-ups, sit-ups, our class warm-up activities, and living room workouts are all great activities to do while you’re at home. Please click on EXERCISE ACTIVITIES to see this weeks exercises.

If you have any questions, please email me. Stay safe and I promise, the sunshine is on the way!

Week of 4/27 – 5/1

Unfortunately this week there has been a change to the way we have been doing things. The district has blocked the use of Google Hangout, so we can no longer use this to see one another. There were some middle school students that did some things that were unacceptable on Google Hangout, so this is not something we will be using anymore. The district is working on another safer sight that we can use, but for this week I want everyone to be posting on their Physical Activity Logs. There are new exercises for you to do while everyone is home which can be found HERE.

Please post the type of exercise you are doing once a day. I will submit the grades by the end of the day Sunday. Please click on the link PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LOG WEEK 4/27 – 5/1 to access the worksheet.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying home. Please email me with any questions, thanks!

Google Meet

By now, everyone should’ve gotten an email from me with the Google Meets Link and directions of how to join the meeting. We will be meeting once a week. The schedule for Google Meet is posted below on the video from Mrs. Alcodray. I emailed everyone the link for the Google meet, and their specific time. If you are confused about anything, please email me. I’m excited to see everyone faces this week!

Physical Activity Log

Hello everyone! I am posting the Physical Activity Log that you will be completing for the week. It is a spreadsheet that has everyone’s name already on there, and the dates that need to be completed for the week, which is from 4/20 through 4/24. At the bottom of the spreadsheet there are tabs which indicate each hour. So, if you were in my first hour you will click on the First Hour tab. If you were in my fifth hour, you will click on the Fifth Hour tab and find your name. You have to fill in the type of activity you are doing, and how long you did that activity as well. Make sure you are logged into your Dearborn Schools account when you are completing the log, or else you will not be able to access it. You are expected to complete this log once a day. This is how you will be earning your credit for PE. I will be posting the Physical Activity Log on my blog every Sunday, and will be posting the grades for completing the Log at the end of every week. We will also be meeting through Google Hangout at the end of the week. Google Hangout is used for attendance, and a way that I can see all of you! I will be sending the link for Google Hangout in a few days. Our PE department will continue to post exercises for you to do through the week, which can be found here. The exercises I am posting can be used for your Physical Activity Log, you just have to document it on the Log for me to see.

If you have any questions about the assignment this week, please email me. My office hours are from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. I will respond immediately. I hope all of you are healthy, and staying home!
