Posts using the “Gallery” choice under the Format menu do not show images, unless you set a featured image.  You have to click on the actual post to show the image.  Also, some frames do not show post titles.  Customizability is limited.

Gallery

This is the Gallery format.  To select this frame, choose “Gallery” on the right, under the Format menu.  Images do not show up in posts with this format unless you open the actual post, or set a featured image.  To open the post, click on the post title, “Gallery.”

This is the Quote format.  To select this frame, choose “Quote” on the right, under the Format menu.  This format does not show a post title.

This is the Link format.  To choose this frame, select the “Link” option under the Format menu.  This frame does not show a post title, but it says “Link” in the actual frame, at the bottom.

This is the Status format.  To choose this frame, select the “Status” option under the Format menu.  This frame does not show a post title, but rather the poster’s name.

This is the Image format.  To choose this frame, select the “Image” option under the Format menu.  This frame shows the post title at the bottom of the post.
