Message from Mr. Martin
Parents,
Good afternoon, I hope that everyone is doing well. I’ve created a video again with a more detailed explanation about what is listed below. In short, the work now counts, starting Monday. Your children must check in twice each week with their teacher at the teacher’s scheduled time and they must turn in their assignments in order to get credit. Students who are not checking in and who are not doing their work may not earn credit.
Here’s a few highlights from this week:
- Starting this Monday April 20th, students need to check in with their teachers twice a week and submit their work in order by Fridays to get credit for 2nd semester.
- Students who are checking in regularly and passing 75% of their assignments have the ability to earn an “A” on their report card for 6th card marking and semester 2. Go get those A’s!
- Teachers will list new assignments for the upcoming week every Sunday by 12:00 pm
- Students need to check-in with teachers Monday-Thursdays either following the schedule below or the alternate schedule that each teacher has created and given to students. Try to schedule your personal lives around this schedule.
- Assignments for the week are due by 10 am every Friday.
- There will be no end of semester finals.
- Seniors last day will still be May 21st for classwork.
- Teachers will be using their existing platforms for communication as before, I’m sharing again the DHS Online Teacher Info sheet. Feel free to let it help you with your communication.
- Chromebook distribution tentatively Wednesday, April 22nd from 10-2 pm @ DHS.
- Please communicate with your teachers or counselors if you’re unable to check-in or complete any work.
