We are starting our final unit which will wrap up the last 28 days of the school year (but who’s counting). We have a lot of vocabulary work to do this week to front load our learning for next week. Look for homework this weekend.

Garden Planning for Homework
Over the weekend, students should be planning our their gardens. This is due on Monday. All directions are in google classroom.

Plants
There isn’t much green outside for us to study right now. We are continuing our study of Botany. Next week the students will be doing research projects comparing vascular and non vascular plants.

Big Finish!!!
We only have a few more classes of first semester. Our final with be all about plants and cells. Looking forward to next semester, students will need a 3 ring binder for all their work. Students will start to have more homework too.

Great cell projects
Students did an amazing job on their cell projects. This week we are wrapping up microbes. There are everywhere! In the air we breathe, our guts, under our arms, in our mouths, on our hands, everywhere! Students are learning about good and bad pathogens and how they can actually help us.

Cell Structure
Let’s talk about cells. They are simple, yet so complicated. We are investigating the similarities and differences between plant and animal cells and learning all the organelles of a cell.
Major project is coming….Build your own 3-D cell. Your choice of animal or plant cell. You pick your materials.
