- Bellwork: When the U.S. started writing their Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, where did Framers (Founding Fathers) get some of the ideas for our government?
- SAT Practice: Students had 12 minutes to read an SAT passage and answer 6 practice question.
- Complete the notetaker on the English Landmark Documents using p. 30-32 in the textbook (Chapter 2, Section 1)
- Chapter 2 Powerpoint
Tuesday, Feb. 11
- Bellwork: Make a list of 3-5 rights that were given to British citizens in the Magna Carta, Petition of Right, and the English Bill of Rights.
- Finish reviewing the English Landmark Documents notetaker
- Create a tree map to compare/contrast the three types of American colonies.
- Review colonies using the Chapter 2 Powerpoint
Wednesday, Feb. 12
- Bellwork:
1.) Explain the difference between a bicameral and a unicameral legislative body.
2.) In what ways were the 13 colonies similar to one another? How did they differ?
- Timeline: Students will be completing a timeline of the events leading to American independence
