DBQ/Evidence Brace Map

Your DBQ is due Monday, November 11. It must be thoroughly annotated with a color code showing which highlighter is barbaric and which is progressive. There must be an original summary sentence on each of the ten documents.

Your Evidence Brace Map is also due Monday, November 11. You are answering two questions, one on each side of the paper. Which Khan was the better ruler, Genghis or Kublai? Were the Mongols barbaric or were they progressive?

List four pieces of evidence, you can use direct quotes or paraphrasing. Cite each piece of evidence with where it came from and the specific page you found it on. List the reason your evidence supports your claim. Write out your claim as a formal, complete sentence.

Homework!

Due Tuesday: Write a summary of the article, “Role of Religion in Society.” Please use the summary checklist I gave you for this – it is also included below. Staple the article, the summary, and the checklist together and be ready to turn them in Tuesday.

I will be out Monday, so you will have a substitute. You will need to do the reading and complete your notebook at least through Hinduism and Buddhism. If any one misbehaves for the sub, they will get detention. Please behave!
