Charity Walk on Monday!

Just a reminder that we will be having the charity walk on Monday.  I hope the weather cooperates this time!  Please have your child wear tennis shoes.  If it is sunny, you might want to put sunscreen on your child before they come to school so they don’t become as red as a lobster that day!

Bonus Question:  First, find the simile in the paragraph.  Next, write it down on the top of your homework.  Then, write down the two things that are being compared.  Finally, explain what the simile means!  There will be a surprise for you if you get it correct:)  Good luck my Superstars!

Charity Autism Walk Tomorrow!

Yeah!  Our class has 25 students participating in the Autism Fundraiser tomorrow!  This is wonderful!  Please have your child wear tennis shoes tomorrow and either a blue shirt or they can wear the shirt they received last year on the walk.   If your child answers this question correctly on the top of their homework, they will win a small prize tomorrow.

How much money did our class donate to the Autism Foundation?

Good Luck:)

NWEA Reading and Math tests Postponed!

  • Good news!  The test has been postponed until May to allow your child more time to show growth in both reading and math. I will continue to challenge your child in class and review the concepts we have learned as well as introduce them to new concepts. I know you will continue encouraging your child to try their best both at home and at school. Also, thank you so much for working with your child at home. I really appreciate it and so does your child!

Who is Representing our Class in the Art Show?

First of all, let me just say that everyone in our class is an awesome artist!  Even though all of my superstars are fabulous artist, only one student from our class could be chosen to represent McCollough Elementary in the District Art Show.  This year Mrs. Brown, our art teacher, has chosen Hassan’s art work!
