Knock, Knock….who’s there?  Why it is is Saad, Anwaar, and Ali E.!  They have opened the doors to new math worlds!  Saad has unlocked the door to “Multiplication World” whereas, Ali E. and Anwaar have opened the doors to “Subtraction World”!  Way to go!  You are all superstars!  Will you be able to unlock the door next?

Real Author Visits McCollough Elementary!

Author, Melody Arabo, visited our school yesterday for free!  That doesn’t happen very often.  She came to McCollough and read the book she wrote Diary of a Real Bully.  The book has a great message that helps your child learn about what a real bully is and how to change being a bully.  I encourage you to fill out the order form that is being sent home today to purchase this valuable life lesson book.

As an extra bonus, the author and the illustrator will write a message to your child inside the book!  How often does your child receive a book from a real author and illustrator with a message from them and their signatures?  Once again, this is an awesome book to purchase for your child and when she read it to the students they loved it!

If you would like to order the book, please send in the money and order form filled out in an envelope with your child’s name on it by Friday, March 20.  Don’t miss out on a wonderful opportunity to encourage your child to read and to remind them to always be kind to others!

Subtraction World Doors Open Once Again!

Who is our latest student to enter “Subtraction World”?  Our newest member is Michael!  He is now joining the others who have entered this new world of math facts!  Keep up the great work, Michael and good luck in “Subtraction World”!  Will you be the the next person to enter a new world for Math in a Flash?  I hope so:)
