Homework Due Tomorrow!

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend!  I just wanted to let you know that there is math and language arts homework tonight.  Homework is given to reinforce concepts being learned in school.  The best way to help your child with homework is to have them complete it without your help.  Then, sit down with your child and go over the answers. If one is incorrect, take a few minutes to explain to them how to do it and have them write the correct answer.  This is the best way to do homework with your child because it allows them to complete it independently and receive extra help if they need it.

Homework is due tomorrow and needs to be turned in. In math, students will need to complete the number line.  Numbers are constantly repeating themselves.  In language arts, students will need to circle the letter that needs to be capitalized in the sentence.  Then find where that letter goes in the space above.  Finally, whatever the answer is to the riddle, they must draw a picture of it in the space provided.

Book Orders went home today.  This is a great way to motivate your child to read at home every night!  I always loved getting new books and I bet your child will, too!Image result for books

Homework Tonight 9-13

Math Homework- Put together a money math kit and bring to school tomorrow in  the Ziploc bag I gave you with your name on it.

You will need –

           4 quarters

           10 dimes

           10 nickels

It is important that you have a money kit because we will use the money to learn how to count money in different activities.

Also, parents please fill out the emergency card and bring have your child bring it back to school tomorrow.  It is important that we have updated information in case we have to call you.  Thanks!

We Loved Our Field Trip Today!

The field trip to the Dearborn Historical Museum was very educational and interesting, and we had a great time today!  It was great being able to actually see items that we have talked about in our classroom throughout the year!  Please ask your child what they learned about Dearborn’s past today and then asked them what they are growing in their little planting pots!  In the fall, you will have either corn, beans, or a giant pumpkin.  In the next few weeks, you should plant it in the yard somewhere or a much bigger pot so it will have space to grow.  Then just give it plenty of sun and water and watch your plants grow!
