A written essay containing a discussion, mathematical analysis (using equations) and explanation of the physics and realism of a scene from a movie of your choice (PG-13 or less). You may focus on one scene or several scenes from the movie.  There are many possibilities and you can let your imagination and interest be your guide.
Points will be awarded solely on the depth of explanation of Physics content.  The more Physics you explain and the deeper you explain it, the more points you be awarded.  You may use concepts from both Semester 1 and/or Semester 2.  This is not a partner project; your work must be your own.  Work must be submitted via email to foleyd@dearbornschools.org by Wednesday 12:00 PM.  Any hand-written problem-solving may be submitted in person by that time or via image format in email.  You may make reasonable estimates when necessary.
Full points will for each student will vary and will not exceed your participation and professionalism grade (summative points).  This will amount to approximately a 3% bonus if full points are earned, which should be enough to bump a grade up one level (but it is not a guarantee).  Example: B- to a B; B+ to an A-
