Write an essay in paragraph format about someone who won the Nobel prize in Physics. You should sign up for someone in class or email Mr. Foley to sign up.
Essays will get the maximum 15 points summative for 1,500 words, following the guidelines below.
Essays shorter than that will receive partial extra credit, based on their length, as well as following the guidelines below. (Ex: a well-written, 300-word report will receive 3 points summative)
Guidelines:
- Essays should explain what they contributed to Physics in order to win the award.
- You may also write about what helped them make their contribution (background Physics).
- You may also write about what their contribution led to (what later Physicists discovered as a result, how its used today, or what inventions now exist a result).
- You may write about biographical information if you wish (the person’s life story) as long as you still explain their contribution to Physics.
- You may not repeat information, in order to achieve a higher word count. Sorry :/
