We are using the 6 + 1 Traits of writing. The traits are: Ideas, Organzation, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Voice, Conventions. Throughout the year we will focus on each trait. Currently we are focusing on IDEAS. Following are the components of that trait.

IDEAS

A writer should:

-narrow the topic to something specific

-use fresh, original perspective

-when possible, write from experience

-use important, interesting details
