Our focus for this week:
Reading- We are working with informational reading
Writing- We are finishing up our Opinion writing on should Children have Homework? We are working on our Leads, Transitions and Endings.
Spelling-Lesson 7 words are focusing on the long(e). The words are in their planners and are on the blog. the test will be October 12.
Math– We are solving addition and subtraction problems with numbers to the hundred thousands. Our multiplication test Friday will be on the 4’s. It is expected that the children learn their multiplication facts to the 12’s in fourth grade.
Science- We continue with our work on energy and how it makes things move.
Social Studies– A study guide will be coming home for our online test next week on geography on the United States.
Our Leader in Me focus this month is Habit 2–Begin with The End in Mind Habit 2

DTE Presentation for the fourth graders on Tuesday, October 9th.
Picture Day October 10th.
Book Fair this week. Our time is Thursday, October 11 from 9:45-10:15
Fall Fest Will be happening on Friday October 12th after school.
