This week we do have a Late Start on Wednesday, October 7.

Our Spelling Words for Lesson 3 are: poke, rock, mop, below, lock, problem, solution, traits, symbols, character. The focus is the vowel sound/o/.

In Reading we are finishing our study of myths.   We will be focusing on character traits.  If you are able to visit the library,  check out some myths you can read together and practice reading strategies with your child.  Also, your child is bringing home their MobyMax login information today.  I encourage you to use this site.  There is an assessment section, so that your child will be getting material at his/her level.  These assessments can be done in more than one setting.

I am encouraging the children to use their best handwriting for all their work, as well as using complete sentences.  I am expecting the children to be able to write complete sentences and to begin sentences with a capital letter and end it with the correct punctuation.
