In addition to the public library and the summer reading program at Barnes and Noble, which I listed previously , I have found the following online reading sites that can be used for summer reading fun.
) We Give Books – (www.givebooks.org) This website is owned by Pearson Foundation, and has hundreds of e-books available for kids to read for free. In addition, the foundation donates books to kids in need around the world for all of your time spent on this site. You can sort the books by content and age appropriateness.
) Mighty Book – ( www.mightybook.com) This website has great, animated stories for kids to listen to.
0.) Elementary Place – (www.storyplace.org) This website has many topics that interest kids. For each topic, there is a story where kids get to make the decisions, there is also an activity and a list of books about that topic.
