The children have no school on November 5.
Our Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser — Coin Collection Drive– is during the month of November. We will have a visit from representatives from Habitat for Humanity on November 6.
Reading– Continue reading 20 minutes a night. It does make a difference. Our book report is due November 8.
Writing–We continue writing opinion pieces. We are learning to use good leads, paragraphs and transition words.
Handwriting– Cursive handwriting is continuing. The children are doing well. Practice at home.
Spelling–Lesson 9 this week. Our focus is Multisyllabic VC/CV words.
Math– We are working with area and perimeter. We are also starting to learn our multiplication facts. In third grade we learn the facts to 10.
Science–light and sound
Social Studies– We are learning about the history of Michigan
A reminder slip about conference times will come home Monday.
