*In this new marking period, we have two changes.

1. Students must complete a total of 4 activities each week. They are given time to work on completing one activity in class the day we get new words. If they do not finish, they must complete it at home as well as the remaining three activities.
2. We have two spelling lists. Both contain the same pattern, but list B has more challenging words. For students to move to list b, they must get 100% on the previous three spelling tests and be completing their homework. If a student gets a 1 or 2 (80% – 100%) on list b, they remain on list b. If they get a 3 or 4 (79% and below), I allow them to have one more chance on list b before they are moved back to list a.

 

Remember, I do my best to keep our current spelling words on the spelling page of the blog. If your child forgets their notebook, check there and they can complete their activities on looseleaf paper and bring it in for credit.
