The first grade students have been studying economics. They have worked hard as producers to create goods to sell to our DuVall School consumers!
We will be selling our items on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. All items will cost only 25 cents. All of our “income” will be donated to the DoVall club to support the “Adopt an Animal” project.

We have been studying economics in our classroom. Make sure to ask your child about the following terms: needs, wants, goods, services, producers, consumers, supply, demand, income and scarcity. Be sure to have them tell you about the goods that we produced today!
First Grade Families,
We will be having a small Valentine celebration on Thursday, February 11th. We will be decorating bags, passing out cards (if you choose), graphing candy hearts and enjoying floats. Please look for the sign up genius to see the items that we will need.
The citizens of Flint face a very serious and long term water crisis. People all across the state and country are stepping up to help and now we can too!

Please save the cardboard paper towel rolls and send them to school with your child. We will be using these for our number scrolls. Thanks!
I have cleaned out reading bags. Please use the red Treasures book to read at home each night. I will begin reading testing on Wednesday. This will take a little while so I will not be sending any new books home until the testing is complete.
Your child will be bringing home a packet of homework today. There are two spelling pages and two math fluency pages. Please have your child complete one page a day and return the completed packet on Friday.
