Find yourself at home in a book at our local library! Parents and students please join us for a fun day at our public library. The visit will include a special storytime with Mr. Attee, followed by a brief introduction to what is found in the children’s area and what you can do at the library. Hope to see you there!

Dear Parents,

     The second graders will go to Veterans Hospital in Detroit on May 20.  We are also delivering to a few Veteran’s organizations as well as the Freedom Center at Metro Airport.  We are hoping to break our record of 1269 fruit baskets.  The fruit will be picked up on May 18.  We will wrap the fruit baskets on May 19, and deliver them the next day.  If you would be able to help with picking up fruit, wrapping baskets, decorating trays or cards, or delivering the baskets, please let me know.  We would appreciate your help!  Also, there is a list of items which the hospital has provided which lists items the Veterans could use.

We have caterpillars!!!

Our caterpillars arrived this past Wednesday.  The students are very excited.  We have decided that it will be fun to have two students take them home each night.  I will pull random sticks to choose the students.  Please make sure to keep the caterpillars inside the container in a safe place at home.  Also, make sure to help your child remember to bring them back to school the following day.  We are having fun observing these baby caterpillars grow!
