About this course:

In this class, your student will be reading a wide variety of literature including:

• Informational Text
• Poetry
• Classics
• Narratives
• Lyrics
• Fiction

Each week, your student will be reading with his or her class an article.  Everyday of the week, we will focus on different parts of the article using the SOAPSTone reading strategy, along with working on word acquisition, making questions and connections and doing multiple reads.

Along with the anchor texts, I will be supplementing them with articles, videos, and other information relevant to the text.

One folder

Class Expectations:

Students are expected to arrive to class on time and prepared with the proper supplies.

ABSOLUTELY NO CELL PHONES ARE ALLOWED.  There is a box and a cell phone caddy available for your student to put their phone away.  Headphones are not permitted in my classroom, as well.
