Academic Dishonesty

Good Morning, Students,

Today, I was checking papers and I noticed a lot of you copied answers for the “Of Mice and Men” Questions assignment.  I caught it and then went through and checked the papers I had from the other classes…and GUESS WHAT?!  I found papers with identical answers.  Interesting.

The people who copied — even one answer received a ZERO on the assignment and a note that reads, “Academic Dishonesty – copied work” on the assignment.

This past marking period, I have caught many people copying.  If this happens again, I will call your parents and notify administration.  Copying/Academic Dishonesty is NO JOKE.  In college, you can get in really big trouble and the ramifications are the same in my classroom.  This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.  I will not change your grade for this assignment.  If you continue to bother me about this, I will call home and speak to your parent about this issue.

I am really disappointed in the people who copied.  This group of students should really be ashamed of themselves.

Please take this as your warning.  I will also be talking about this to each class on Tuesday and Wednesday.

-Miss Palonis

P.S. Please do not email me about grades.  You already know I have been ridiculously generous.
