Students have been working hard the past week and a half! The first week back from break we started to break away from the visual models to represent dividing fractions and went into the “keep, change, flip” strategy to solve problems. Students have done really well! I am excited for them to show their skills during our lesson 7 quiz tomorrow (12/6). Yesterday we completed a study guide that follows very closely along with what is written on the quiz. Please have your student review this tonight. Today we played Math Jeopardy and students worked in groups to solve equations. I was very impressed with every class!
Our next unit (starting Friday) will focus on dividing with multi-digit numbers. To get a head start, students may want to go onto Khan Academy to review the skill. This lesson will take us about 5 class periods. Students may have a quiz next Friday (12/14).
