October 7-11

Needs

As always, Kleenex is appreciated.

7th Grade Mathematics

If your student does not have dry erase markers or earbuds, it might be a good idea to purchase some for your student. Some Chromebook activities that we work on in class will have material for students to listen to. Please have a pair that can plug into the computer. I do not not know how well air-pods work with these computers.

We are starting Lesson 4 this week. It is all about Multiplying and Dividing integers. Students should have the rules highlighted on their homework packet. Students now have access to a classroom page! I will post review material for extra practice, along with extra copies of homework packets (just in case). Students can also login to ask questions when they need help and I will do my best to answer them (or another student can help). Our week should go as follows:

  • Monday- Lesson 4 introduction. Work on pg. 26-27 in Ready textbooks. Homework: pg. 29-30 in homework packet.
  • Tuesday- Work on pg. 28-29 in Ready textbook. Homework: pg. 31-32 in packet.
  • Wednesday- Ready textbook pg. 30-31 together. Homework: pg. 33-34 in packet.
  • Thursday- ISN entry. Ready textbook pg. 32-33. Homework: finish packet. (progress reports sent home for all, please sign and return)
  • Friday- Check homework. Special Activity? Homework: Study for quiz (Monday or Tuesday next week)

Computers

If your child does not have earbuds or headphones, it might be a good idea to purchase some for your student. There are some activities that we do in class that require students to listen to a video. Please do not send in air-pods, they will not work with the computers. (Send in ones that can be plugged into the desktop).

We are finishing up working with Microsoft Word this week. Students are spending the week as follows:

  • Monday- Finish lesson 20. Start Table Assignment (Quiz)
  • Tuesday- Continue Table Assignment
  • Wednesday- Complete Table Assignment
  • Thursday- Microsoft Word Quiz
  • Friday- Makeup any missing work.
