I am so excited to continue working with some of the same students as last year! I have moved to the 7th grade math classroom. Along with that course, I am also teaching computer applications. I will give a further rundown of each course and send home a syllabus and supply list this week. In order to communicate more easily with parents I am also planning on utilizing Class Dojo. 7th Grade Math

We are going to continue using the curriculum we started using last year (Ready Common Core). The format of the course will be similar in that 80% of student grades will be based on Summative Assessments (quizzes, tests) and 20% will be based on Formative Assignments (bellwork, classwork, homework, etc.)

Computer Applications

This course will focus on learning Applications in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). There will not be homework in this course as long as students use their time wisely. Grades will rely heavily on tests, quizzes, and other projects. Along with these scores, students will receive up to 5 participation points daily. If students choose not to work or follow expectations they will lose these points. If a student loses all points in a class period, parents will be contacted, and a consequence will take place.
