*Students will apply the concept of electronegativity to predict the polarity of bonds and molecules.

*Student will become proficient in naming and writing formulas for covalently bonded molecules.

*Students will use Lewis Dot Structures for elements to construct molecules.

Students will participate in the Ionic/Covalent Bond lab on Friday, 2/9.  This lab will assist students in the comparison of ionic and covalent molecules based on their properties.

Chapter 8 Test, Covalent Bonds, will be given on Tuesday, 2/13.
