Week of October 21st

Monday

Students will review – convergent, and divergent evolution with a double bubble map on white boards

We will discuss different relationships and identify if they are convergent, divergent of co evolution – Friday’s homework sheet.

Students will begin the review on google class room form Evidence of Evolution test

Tuesday

Students will complete the Evidence for Evolution review and the class will discuss the questions / answers

Wednesday

Evidence for evolution exam on iLearn

Thursday

Enrichment reading on Evidence of Evolution including history of evolution

Friday

Students will make correction on their exam taken on Wednesday – Write out the question with the correct answer.

Students are encouraged to take retakes on the exam if their grade is below a 3. Please see me for details on how to take a retake and coordinate a time.

Monday

  • Using the information from notes and discussion in class – create a T square that compares and contrasts analogous structures with homologous structures

Evidence of evolution video – organize evidence into 4 squares

Wednesday (late start)

Vestigial structures – students will choose a vestigial structure, describe the structure, and explain what its use was believed to be and how it is used in other close relatives. Format will be provided in class.

Thursday
