Monday –  off no school

Tuesday –

• Today students worked in groups to explain the characteristics of life
• These were written in their notebooks
• Vocabulary from Ch. 18 Ecosystems and Ch. 1 were put into a foldable

Wednesday –

• “Talked to the Diagram”  pg 361 and 360 in text
  • labeled and created summary statements
• Read and discussed the meaning of biosphere, community, population, organism

Thursday 

• Read the worksheet attached
• ecology-reading-intro
• Defined and discussed – ecosystem, habitat and niche
• Created and worked on the table for studying the interaction of organisms involved in Lyme disease and its spread

Friday –

• Complete relationships table – of oak, chipmunk, mouse, gypsy moth, tick, and lyme bacterium.
• Together discuss the relationships
• Short essay:  Explain how an increase in the white footed mouse will affect the ecosystem and the spread of Lyme disease
