Summer Learning

Hi everyone, here are some things your child can work on this summer to help make sure they are ready for 5th grade!!

1- Students should continue to read 30 minutes daily. They should complete at least two chapter books (100 pages or more) this summer.

2- Students all received their Module 6/7 Learn Book. (You either picked it up during the math book distribution day, or I put it in the student bags when they got their belongings!) They should complete one math lesson per week. Students also have a Succeed book at home that has a Homework Helper page to go with each lesson, and they will continue to have access to Zearn, so they can complete the Module 7 lessons there.

3- MobyMax can be accessed through Clever. MobyMax Math, Reading Skills Literature, and Reading Skills Informational are the recommended sections for students to work on. Moby Max is adaptive to each student’s ability level. Once a student has mastered/passed one standard, they are advanced to the next.

4- IXL is a website that Howard may be using next year. The site is offering a 30 day free trial, and it may be a good idea to get your child familiar with how it works!

5- Readtheory.org is an awesome resource that we used in class. Students should have their login info still, but if not, let me know!!

Again, these are all just suggestions that we believe will help your child be ready for next year! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about any of these activities.
