A Note From Ms. Naura

Welcome back!

I am sorry I am not there to start the year with all of you.  When I come back I will explain why I had to be gone this long.

I wanted to take a moment to give you some words of advice and suggestions to help you have a great semester in my class.

I’m sure most of you know my reputation.  If you don’t, it is (or should be) that I am “chill” but “snap” if you don’t listen/follow directions.  Both are very true.  I believe a classroom should be someplace you enjoy spending an hour in.  However, my stronger belief is that it should be a place I enjoy spending my day in!

Ms. Saghir is doing me a huge favor by subbing for me.  She is your teacher for the next few weeks, not “the sub”.  PLEASE show her the attention and respect she deserves.  If she has a bad month, chances are VERY likely, that you will not enjoy the rest of your semester in my class.  I asked her to sub for me because I know she is fair, and a good educator.  She is not the babysitter!

Most of you are know Juniors.  This is, by far, the most important year in your high school career.  Anything is possible and, for the most part, attainable.  I really am excited to help you realize and take advantage of this.

If you need to reach me for any reason, my email is: naurae@dearbornschools.org.  It may take a day for me to respond, but I will respond.

I hope the beginning of the year treats you all well and that you will do as I ask and respect Ms. Saghir and her authority.  Feel free to ask former students the consequences of having a substitute leave a bad report :).

Sincerely,

Ms. Naura

p.s. Mr. Mosallam has decided that food sales are no longer allowed in any capacity.  This means I am not allowed to sell anything, whether it is before, after or during school.  I am sorry for any inconvenience.
