Thursday – September 27th
I apologize for not keeping you all updated. The students have been working on NWEA tests or make-up tests all week. There was a quiz yesterday for the story Raymond’s Run. It had a part A and a part B. The students started it yesterday and were given time in class today to finish it. Vocabulary worksheets were assigned on Tuesday and were due by today.
Please make sure to check Student Connect for missing assignments and current grades. We are half way through the marking period and progress reports were sent home. The progress reports were to be signed and sent back to school.
Have a Great Weekend!!!

Monday and Tuesday – September 17 & September 18
Monday was Constitution Day !!! There was a class wide discussion about the Constitution and what it means to our country and every citizen that lives in the United States. The students did a short lesson on iLearn. and these lessons can be viewed on Mr. Murphy’s iBlog page. This is also a great tool to see what your student was presented with in class or as a review of the material. Students were then assigned an iLearn lesson on the Constitution and whatever was not finished in class was homework.
Tuesday we continued our testing for the NWEA Reading section and read the story titled Raymond’s Run. Students were assigned an iLearn lesson on Raymond’s Run and whatever part of the assignment was not finished in class was homework.

Friday – September 14th
This past Wednesday we had an Open House and the turn out was excellent. If you attended you should have received a class syllabus that needs to be sign by both student and parent and returned to Mr. Murphy or Ms. Flinn. If you did not attend Mr. Murphy handed out a copy to all those students.
Today was half a day and our classes were 20 minutes long. The students took a quiz on the Chapter One Vocabulary and the grades should be posted some time this weekend.
“Caught Ya” worksheet should have been completed and turn in today at the latest.
Please don’t forget to check your students planner daily and Student Connect Weekly.
Have a great weekend!!!
