Homework and Report Cards

Homework and Report Cards

Hello Parents!

I hope you have all stayed warm this week. Even with the snow days and days off, we are still working hard here in kindergarten!

Today I will be sending out report cards to most students. For some students, I will be scheduling meetings with you before sending the report card home. I will be calling the parents I would like to meet with next week.

Also, I have postponed the spelling test for the “an” word family until next Friday. With the snow days and MLK Day, I want to make sure that everyone had a good amount of time to study the words before being tested. The homework packet will also be due next Friday.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns 🙂

Updates!

Updates!

This week we investigated how to move an object with a push or pull. The students used a pull back car to explore the phenomena of motion. Students were able to describe the effect caused by pushing or pulling the car with different strengths and directions.Through their exploration, the students were able to make their own definition of push and pull with drawn representations.

This coming week we will go on a “push and pull” walk where children will be encouraged to apply their knowledge of motion with other tangible objects such as doors, swings, balls, ect..
