Learning Activities for Thursday May 14th!

Hello Parents, here are our lesson activities for today! Happy Thursday!

Please make sure you send pictures of your child doing the activities from today <3

Good Morning!

Good Morning Parents and Students. 

Our letters today are Gg and Hh!

Exercise

Ms. Stafiej and Crunch are playing catch in our yard. You can play catch too, or take a walk around the block!

Academic Activities

Math Activity

Practice “typing” your home phone number or parents phone numbers… it is SO important for your child to know your phone number in case of an emergency.

It is also a great way to help your child with number recognition 🙂

Literacy Activity

Gather some items from outside and build your name with those found materials!

Creative Time

Make a Fizzy Rainbow!

You will need:

  • a tray or plate
  • baking soda
  • vinegar
  • watercolor paint or food coloring
  • droppers or spoons

Pour baking soda onto the plate or tray. Mix watercolors or food coloring with different cups of vinegar. Using droppers or spoons have the children drop the vinegar onto the baking soda.Children can observe the chemical reaction between the baking soda and vinegar.

Lunch Time

Remember to eat your fruits and vegetables <3 Ms. Stafiej is having a turkey sandwich with an apple.

Chore Time

Clean your spot after lunch, help to wash the dishes, clean up your toys and your room. 

Quiet Time

Children have time to relax and “charge” their bodies. If your child doesn’t normally nap at home, they can read stories or do a quiet activity of your choice (no screens please!)

Work Time

 5 to 10 minutesPlan for Work Time:  Build your child’s ability to organize their time by having them make a “plan” with you about what they would like to play with.  Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).  
Kids will tell you what they are planning to do/want to play with/how they will use toys at home. 
التخطيط لوقت العمل ( وقت اللعب): ساعد طفلك على بناء مهارة تنظيم الوقت بوضع خطة  معهم عن لعبهم. هذا ما كان يفعله كل الطلاب كل يوم في المدرسة. هذا يساعد الأولاد على تنظيم أفكارهم. الأهل أيضا يضعون خطط دائما لتنظيم أفكارهم مثل قائمة التسوق قبل الذهاب إلى المتجر, كتابة القوائم تساعد على تنظيم اليوم….. 
الأولاد سوف يخبروكم ما هي خطتهم/ ماذا سيلعبون/ مع من سيلعبون/ ماذا سيستخدمون من أدوات في لعبهم
1 hourWork Time: Kids play WITHOUT ELECTRONICS.  Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.
وقت العمل :  يجب أن لا يستعمل الأولاد الإلكترونيات . يستطيع الأولاد استخدام الألعاب التي تساعدهم في  التخيل و البناء و الإبداع  
15 minutesClean Up Time:  Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing.
وقت التنظيف: ينظف الأولاد الفوضى التي نتجت عن لعبهم.
5 to 10 minutesRecall Time:  Build your child’s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask “tell me how you did that” or “what did you do next?”)
وقت التذكر: بناء ذاكرة الأولاد و مراجعة الأحداث عن طريق جعل طفلك يعيد سرد ما قام به خلال وقت اللعب( اسال طفلك: اخبرني كيف قمت بذلك؟ أو ماذا فعلت بعد ذلك؟)

Gymnastics Lesson 4 – Pirate Song and Treasure Hunt!

This lesson has a wonderful math movement song and practicing forward rolls. Please make sure your child is supervised during this activity! Don’t forget to walk the plank! 🙂
