Hello Parents, Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

This is our last week of virtual learning! June 8th is our official last day and I will be sharing a transition post for next year <3

Come to Cotter either Wednesday 12-2 or Thursday 12-2 to pick up your child’s preschool certificate from the circle drive!

Ms. Stafiej is going to take her dogs out for a nice walk in the park to enjoy nature. Can you hear birds on your walk today?

Academic Activities

This week we’re going to be super heroes! Ms. Stortini is going to teach us how to be superheros!

What is your favorite thing about super heroes? Would you like to be one? I know I would! Let’s read about the 10 rules for being a super hero.

1. Now that we know the 10 rules, we’re going to do some journal writing! Today we’re going to choose to write and draw about rule #1 OR rule #2 from the story. I can’t wait to see the pictures of your journals! Here is a video about how to do a super hero journal entry.

2. Let’s play a game! Today we’re going to learn a game called, “Race to the Rescue!” For this game you will need some blocks, two toy animals or people, and a dice. Watch this video for instructions on how to play the game, then send me a picture of your playing!

Lunch Time

Remember to eat your fruits and vegetables <3 Ms. Stafiej is having spaghetti with green beans.

Chore Time

Clean your spot after lunch, help to wash the dishes, clean up your toys and your room. 

Quiet Time

Children have time to relax and “charge” their bodies. If your child doesn’t normally nap at home, they can read stories or do a quiet activity of your choice (no screens please!)

Work Time

 5 to 10 minutesPlan for Work Time:  Build your child’s ability to organize their time by having them make a “plan” with you about what they would like to play with.  Children do this everyday with us at school. It helps children learn to organize their thoughts. Adults make plans all the time to organize their thoughts (shopping lists are made before going to the grocery store, to do lists are made to help plan your day etc..).  
Kids will tell you what they are planning to do/want to play with/how they will use toys at home.

1 hourWork Time: Kids play WITHOUT ELECTRONICS.  Kids can use toys to pretend play, build, and create.
وقت العمل :  يجب أن لا يستعمل الأولاد الإلكترونيات . يستطيع الأولاد استخدام الألعاب التي تساعدهم في  التخيل و البناء و الإبداع  
15 minutesClean Up Time:  Kids clean up the mess they have made while playing.

5 to 10 minutesRecall Time:  Build your child’s memory of events by having your child tell you what they did while they played (ask “tell me how you did that” or “what did you do next?”)
وقت التذكر: بناء ذاكرة الأولاد و مراجعة الأحداث عن طريق جعل طفلك يعيد سرد ما قام به خلال وقت اللعب( اسال طفلك: اخبرني كيف قمت بذلك؟ أو ماذا فعلت بعد ذلك؟)

Find a few books in your house. Read to yourself for about 10 minutes.
